CareShare Membership Benefits

The CareShare Community Membership at Finding Camelot is designed to provide affordable, high-quality childcare as part of our communal living model. This membership offers parents and guardians access to a supportive network of caregivers within the community, ensuring that children receive excellent care in a safe and nurturing environment. By sharing childcare responsibilities among trusted community members, CareShare reduces the financial and logistical burdens on individual families, promoting a balanced and stress-free lifestyle. This program not only enhances the well-being of children but also fosters stronger social bonds and mutual support among community members.

CareShare Volunteer Opportunities

  •  Voluntary participation in the CareShare program at Finding Camelot involves assisting as a teacher's aide during designated shifts.
  • Each day is divided into a 4-hour day shift and a 4-hour afternoon shift, with members having the option to sign up for one or both shifts.
  • Volunteer hours must be scheduled a week in advance to ensure adequate adult supervision.
  • Consistently low volunteer turnout may lead to using funds from CareShare memberships to hire outside help.
  • This structured approach ensures the program runs smoothly while providing essential support to the community.
  • Volunteer hours in the CareShare program are applied as discounts on membership fees, with a barter exchange rate of $12.50 per hour and a cap of 8 hours per 40-hour purchase.
  • Hours must be worked in advance, and while members can volunteer more time, only 8 hours will be applied toward the purchase price.
  • This system ensures a fair and manageable balance between volunteer contributions and financial benefits.

  • Detailed information about voluntary participation in the CareShare program can be found in The Blueprint, the household guide and membership handbook.
