Welcome, Paws and Claws: Our Pet Policy

At Finding Camelot, we believe that harmonious communal living includes our beloved pets. Animals are welcome in our community, and we've designed our spaces and systems to support their integration seamlessly. We understand that pets are part of the family and contribute to a warm and vibrant household. If we can live together, so can they, and we're committed to making this possible in the most accommodating way.

Pet Owner Etiquette: Handling Issues Gracefully

Pet owners are responsible for the care and management of their pets to ensure a harmonious living environment. This includes covering all pet-related expenses, providing daily care, and maintaining cleanliness. Pet owners must clean up after their pets and ensure they do not disrupt the household.

If issues arise that affect the quality of life within the household, they will be addressed on an individual basis at the weekly household meetings, as detailed in the membership handbook. This grievance resolution process ensures that any concerns are handled fairly and promptly, fostering a supportive and respectful community for both residents and their pets.

Pet-Friendly Living Spaces at Finding Camelot

We have envisioned what living with pets entails and made adjustments to prevent potential issues. For cats, keeping them primarily in their designated rooms while providing access to the household through pet doors offers the best balance of security and freedom. This arrangement allows cats to have their own space while still being able to explore communal areas. Dogs, as social animals, typically thrive in cohabitation settings. We are confident that any challenges can be managed effectively within our supportive community.

Inclusive Pet Policy at Finding Camelot

At Finding Camelot, we understand that pets are family. That’s why we don’t impose breed restrictions and instead conduct pet interviews and assessments to ensure a good fit for our community. We also do not charge extra for pets, as all pet-related expenses are the responsibility of the owner, unlike dependents whose expenses impact the household budget.

For those with pet allergies, we acknowledge the challenges and are planning to include designated pet-free properties in our network in the future. Until then, we encourage you to explore our community memberships to enjoy the benefits of being part of our vibrant community without the concerns of living with pets.
