Childcare Participation

Participating in the childcare rotation at Finding Camelot involves sharing the responsibility of caring for the community's children among all members. Each member is assigned specific days on a rotating schedule to provide childcare, ensuring flexibility and consideration of individual availability and commitments. During these shifts, members supervise playtime, prepare snacks or meals, help with homework, and plan engaging activities for the children. This collaborative approach not only ensures that every child receives excellent care and attention in a safe and nurturing environment but also fosters a strong sense of community and mutual support among members.

Domestic Upkeep

  • Deluxe members at Finding Camelot play a vital role in maintaining the household through domestic upkeep responsibilities.
  • These duties include participating in cleaning common areas, managing shared spaces, and overseeing household chores to ensure a clean and organized living environment.
  • Deluxe members contribute to tasks such as tidying up communal areas, maintaining cleanliness in kitchens and bathrooms, and performing routine maintenance.
  • Their active involvement helps foster a sense of community, cooperation, and shared responsibility, ensuring a pleasant and well-maintained living space for all residents.
  • The chore assignment method for Finding Camelot's pioneering household will be finalized based on practical experience and member feedback.
  • Two potential methods are currently being considered: assigning tasks to specific days of the week with a rotating schedule or listing all chores with weekly initial boxes for first-come basis claims.
  • The first method involves a rotating schedule ensuring each member has a different chore day each week.
  • The second method allows members to claim tasks on a first-come basis, suitable for those who prefer less rigid schedules.
  • The first method may be used for household and deluxe Logos Nostos members, while the second method could be implemented for basic Logos Nostos members to accommodate varying preferences and responsibilities within the community.

Meal Prep Participation

On the nights a member cooks for the household, they are responsible for planning, preparing the entire meal and making sure the kitchen is clean afterwards. The household budget stocks a basic pantry with items such as flour, rice, pasta, canned items, and spices, along with bulk frozen items like vegetables and meats. However, the scheduled member must purchase any specific ingredients required. Household dependents assist with age-appropriate meal prep tasks and dining room cleanup, but the ultimate responsibility lies with the scheduled member. Further details on these responsibilities can be found in The Blueprint, the household guide and membership handbook.
